Social Learn and Play
NM-REAL SLaP is a monthly Kink Social, Learning, and Pan-Sexual, Sex-Positive Play event for those that crave excitement, education, and exploration in our community. SLaP events will be held most months on the third Friday.
Stop letting reality slap you in the face! It’s more fun to choose your own reality at SLaP.
Each month NM-REAL SLaP will have social time and space for social interaction, one to three classes, followed by a sex-positive play party. Hang out and socialize, be a voyeur, be an exhibitionist. One area will have low to moderate level volume house music – so you can hear each other. Other areas will have quiet space to relax and talk. Check out each event to see which educational activities will be held. Our play time has both a larger pansexual play party spaces (beds, cabana’s, pan videos, and dungeon area) and a male-identifying only space – a room with beds and male videos. Other focused spaces can be created if there is sufficient demand – let us know.
All our events strive for safe space for all through attendee required behavior that is respectful, ethical, and inclusive. Our space is for 21+ year olds, no alcohol or illegal drugs. Outdoor space is available for vaping and smoking.
We hope you come to the whole event to socialize; however, you can also just attend the education or play sessions. SLaP is brought to you by the partnership that produced Kinktoberfest 2025 and NM Leather & Kink Fair, including NM-REAL, Inc. – a charitable non-profit, and Purgatory Dungeon. Rope Bondage 101 -by Twizted Magic & otherKitty**
Bondage can be so much more than restraint—it can be a slow,
intoxicating dance of seduction, connection, and trust. In this class,
we’ll explore how rope can heighten intimacy, deepen desire, and turn
foreplay into an unforgettable experience. You’ll learn how to tease the
mind as much as the body, using creative positions and sensual ties that
invite both passion and playfulness. The Sommerville Bowline single
column tie is your key to unlocking this workshop, so please arrive
already familiar—whether from our 101 class, our YouTube channel, or
your own practice. If you’re brand new to rope, we recommend starting
with Rope Bondage 101 so you can fully savor everything this class has
to offer. Bring your curiosity, your partner, and your desire to make
the bedroom your playground.
TwiztedMagic & otherKitty, have had a tying partnership for a couple
years, that has been absolutely magical! Their rope bondage approach has
both Japanese and Western influences. They believe that a solid
foundation of core principles and techniques is an essential key to
learning. TwiztedMagic has put in thousands of hours in practice and
application. otherKitty has about 2 years of Bottoming experience and
has been learning to tie as well. They strive to maintain a learning
and growth mindset as individuals and rope artists. Seeing a need in
their community, they founded KnotScience_NM, an organization with the
goal of creating change and furthering Rope Bondage education in New Mexico.00
FLOGGING 101, by Mistress Glow
In this session, we will learn about, and practice, using a flogger. A “flogger” is a kind of a whip with many strands or tendrils, usually made of soft leather but sometimes made of harder stuff. A leather flogger is one of the milder implements used in impact play. You will learn how to handle the flogger, how to do a “figure eight”, how to position yourself to give your play partner and yourself the most enjoyment from the session. Mistress Glow will demonstrate the “Florentine” pattern using a flogger in each hand, and you will get a chance to practice this lovely technique.
During this class, you will get the opportunity to be the “top” (the person handling the flogger) and also to be the bottom (the person receiving the flogger’s loving attention). It’s important for a top to know what it feels like to receive as well as to deliver.
We will talk about the places on the bottom’s body to hit, and the places to avoid. We will learn about the “wrap” and how to either avoid it or use it.
We will discuss how to care for your flogger, how to clean and store it after you use it.
You will need to have a flogger for this class. If you already have a flogger that you love, please bring it to the class. If you do not have a flogger, you will need to acquire one (or two!). Mistress Glow makes beautiful floggers, and has many available for you to purchase. If you don’t have a flogger, please take a look at wide variety of floggers that Mistress Glow has made by hand.
